Your job as a communicator is to make your audience feel.
Why? Because much as we might like to think that we are governed exclusively by hard facts, in reality, humans take decisions almost entirely according to the emotions evoked in them. Any communication, of course, needs to be based on fact, but for the audience to be moved to action, you need to be the facts’ spokesperson. It’s your responsibility to show what the facts mean.
